BlockFilms is pleased to announce that The Dr. Susan Block Show will air five nights a week in Israel on Ananey Communications' Ego Channel. The provocative sex-oriented TV talk show, hosted by internationally renowned sex educator, best-selling author (The 10 Commandments of Pleasure) and HBO personality Dr. Susan Block, has been entertaining American cable audiences since 1992.
The show premieres on Tuesday, September 23rd at 11 PM or 23:00 (IST), and will air Sundays-Thursdays.
Ananey is a "multi-channel subscribed television system with digital applications, including interactive and enhanced TV." The Ego Channel, "the first Israeli channel specifically tailored for the hot-blooded 18-45 male audience…features both international and local programs in four genres - non-fiction action, finance, boys' toys and adult oriented content…with a cheeky and humorous on-air look and feel."
The Dr. Susan Block Show is certainly "cheeky" in all senses of the word. The award-winning, critically acclaimed and unapologetically controversial, call-in talk show deals with a broad range of topics related to human sexuality. Like a chef hosts a cooking show from a kitchen, surrounded by pots and pans, Dr. Block hosts her sexuality show from bed, surrounded by dildos and vibrators. The program features a wide variety of guests, from distinguished authors like Pulitzer-Prize winning New York Times science writer Natalie Angier (Woman: An Intimate Geography) and Orthodox Rabbi Shmuley Boteach (Kosher Sex) to adult film stars like Tera Patrick and Teri Weigel. Dr. Block, a Yale graduate known for her sensuous style, irreverent humor and down-to-earth approach to human sexuality, is delighted to be going on the air in the Holy Land.
