Eros Carnaval at The Dr. Susan Block Institute

This intimate collection of more than 450 unique images was taken from video shot during Eros Day 2003 at the Dr. Susan Block Institute for the Erotic Arts & Sciences. Eros Day is the "Holiday of Lust & Spirit" with roots in classical mythology, modern astronomy and humanity’s hunger for the erotic pleasures of life.

On Eros Day, we celebrate EROS, who is both a Great and Powerful God, according to classical mythology, and a little Cock-Shaped Planetoid, according to modern astronomy. The Eros Carnaval commenced with Dr. Suzy's Pre-Eros Day Warm-Up Show. It was late January, 2003. America was on the brink of War in Iraq, wrapped up in Thanatos (Death), the opposite of Eros (Life). Our response was to wrap up Venus--stunning actress/activist Sara Sue Robertson--in nothing but the American Flag. Venus wore Old Glory well, and, after conquering her human shyness with Olympian determination, got right into the holiday spirit on one of our Liberator Shapes with an Eros Boutique vibrating tongue.
