Brothers & Sisters, Lovers & Sinners, Democrats & Republicans, Libertarians & Vegetarians, Troops & Dupes, Husbands & Wives... Today, Eros Day, 2003, America stands on the brink—not of Eros—but of Thanatos. While Eros is life, love & lust, Thanatos is death, terrorism, fascism, repression, recession, war. I love my country, & I hate to see it being run into the ground by King George II, the Great Pretzel Swallower Warmonger. It is quite an extraordinary moment in American history when even the military is for peace & the president is for war… And we who care for our country must seize this moment for change....

As our civil liberties are stripped away, as our division between church and state is ripped to shreds, & our economy sinks into the quicksand, Brothers & Sisters, Lovers & Sinners, we must fight for peace, prosperity & freedom for all! We must do what we can to resist this descent into the Hell of Thanatos & strive again for the Light of Eros ! .. continued
